What is the class of 23’ listening to this fall?

With autumn starting on September 22nd, this new season will bring change, especially with what people will be listening to this fall. I believe there are songs that set a mood for a season and help enhance its qualities. For summer, I learned the most heard song to set the summer mood was “Heat Waves” by Glass Animals. So I wondered, what is the senior class listening to for fall? I decided it was time to ask some knights to see what they were listening to.

First up, I asked cheer captain Finley Nguyen. She says her favorite song for this fall season is “Endlessly” by Omar Apollo. She mentions, “The song is really upbeat, and the melody puts me in a mindset to go grab a fall themed coffee.” Tennis player Nina Vo said: “Any old country song by Taylor Swift puts me in a mood to go pick some apples at Tanner’s.” Honestly, this was my favorite response because a lot of Taylor Swift songs remind me of fall, especially “All Too Well (10-minute version)” Finally, I asked Royalette Isa Montejano who said: “Sweet November by SZA is probably my go-to song for the fall, because not only is the title a fall month, but it just gives off fall vibes.”

I think we’ll be seeing a lot of indie, R&B, and soft pop songs become more popular this fall. Some of my fall favorites in the music category have included “Motion Sickness” by Phoebe Bridgers, “Across the Universe” by Fiona Apple (along with the original sung by The Beatles), and “Silver Springs” by Fleetwood Mac.
