Trends come and go each year, but which ones are bound to take over in 2025? According to Heuritech.com, some predicted trends are aquatic themes, the color yellow, and strapless dresses. Read through to see what to expect this year!
Aquatic life and everything that screams “ocean” is projected to be a hit this year. But think deeper than just ocean and marine life – this year, ocean blues, animal shells, and mermaids are inspiring many of the looks that have been coming out so far. In the Ralph Lauren Spring Summer 2025 collection, there is a stunning blue ombre sequined dress that was released. This exemplifies an “ocean glow,” showing off not only the blue hues of the water but also the shimmer of the water’s reflection. Also, turquoise is predicted to be “in.” Turquoise usage is predicted to increase by +8% this year. I am personally excited about this trend; I believe that people will style things well and come up with stunning outfits. I’m excited to see how this plays out!
The next projected trend is the color “yellow.” I personally think a light yellow can be very cute, but a little goes a long way! Heuritech predicts that the vanilla yellow trend is predicted to rise by +11% while saffron yellow will see a +6% increase from April-June. I believe that these colors will come just in time for the Spring and Summer seasons. A good light yellow can be styled well as linen pants, a tank top, or a ruffly “going out” top. Also, sundresses in the color yellow are always a big hit, so I predict them to come back this year. Yellow accessories are always a hit, but make sure to see if they match your hair, skin, and undertones! Sometimes yellow can bring out the worst color in you. But don’t fret! As long as you play around with different shades or do a color analysis, you will find the perfect shade of yellow that works great for you! A top like the one below might be seen a lot this summer. Ruffles are very in right now!
Straps are SO out- the photo above proves that! Strapless dresses are my favorite, and they are projected to be everyone’s favorite this year! Strapless dresses combine minimalist, classic charm with bright, fun, and unique patterns. During Spring 2025, strapless dresses are projected to increase a whopping +15%! Like the Ralph Lauren dress above, many designers are coming out with strapless looks. I am so ready to snatch some of these dresses this summer!
